The Nature of ALIVENESS: Vibrant Body Listening

The Nature of ALIVENESS: Vibrant Body Listening promotional image

How can dance enhance and reveal new bodies of knowledge with(in) natural history museums through the creation of performance scores and listening practices that challenge and reorient our relationship to animate/inanimate and living/nonliving materials in the museum?

International choreographer and teaching artist Stephanie Miracle with collaborators investigate this question with an upcoming performance and lecture experience. A sharing of performance scores for vibrant body listening and togethering, Miracle and team will share their developing research, which was tested at the Field Museum in Chicago in April. This event is open to the public, for free, with no required registration.
