Creepy Campus Crawl

Friday, October 28, 2016 - 5:30pm to 8:30pm

Our annual Halloween event for kids is back and better than ever!  Explore activities at both the Old Capitol Museum and Museum of Natural History.  Admission is free.  Costumes are encouraged but not required.  This year's themes and activities include....

Museum of Natural History--Undiscovered Lands.  Travel to distances far and wide! Take a spaceship to Mars, venture into the rainforest, or dive deep and discover the ocean floor--many discoveries await in these uncharted lands! Museum partners from the UI Museum Studies Department, the UI Department of Physics and Astronomy and the Iowa City Science Booster Club will be on hand to help guide visitors on their journey.

Old Capitol Museum--Shakespeare.  Celebrate all things spooky and Shakespeare! Meet a variety of ghosts from a selection of the famed poet's tales such as Hamlet and Macbeth. Make your own ruff to take home, listen to unique redactive poetry, and enjoy a variety of other demonstrations, scenes, and activities sure to scare and delight!

Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact the Pentacrest Museums in advance at 319-335-2010.
