Into Interstellar Space With Voyager 1

In a great technical feat, on August 25, 2012, after a flight time of 35 years, the Voyager 1 spacecraft crossed the heliopause into interstellar space. In this talk, Professor Donald Gurnett will describe the events leading up to this achievement and the latest observations of the interstellar medium.

Reception to follow.
