The University of Iowa Pentacrest Museums are, quite literally, the two museums located on the University of Iowa Pentacrest. The Museum of Natural History and the Old Capitol Museum serve different missions at the intersection of human culture and natural history while sharing one administrative structure.

The Museum of Natural History has been in operation since 1858. Today, we serve our campus students and instructors in support of research, experiential learning, and engagement.
