The specimens we preserve in our fluid collections help to answer scientific questions on many subjects, from water quality to anatomy.
Our fluid collections (or ichthyological and herpetological collections) contain thousands of fish, reptiles, and amphibians. This includes an extensive and ongoing collection of fish from Iowa DNR water quality surveys.
